Jesus Christ the Way

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way..." John 14:6

I. The Way to Pardon
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins..." (I John 1:9).
Because of Adam's fall -- all mankind is marred in sin. Each becomes accountable for his own sins. To be released from the guilt of sin -- one must receive pardon. No king, president, or angel can forgive the sins of man. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins by His death on the cross. He alone is the way to pardon for all who repent and believe. (Colossians 1:14)

II. The Way to Purity
"...the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth from all sin" (I John 1:7).
Many Christians fail to completely surrender their lives to Jesus Christ, but hold back some portion for themselves. Only as we yield to Jesus Christ in total commitment can we be cleansed from all sin and filled with His divine love. Jesus Christ is the way to purity of heart. He shed His blood so we could be reconciled to God.

III. The Way to Peace
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you." (John 14:27).
There is less peace today than ever before. Our world is filled with hatred, strife, self-seeking, separation and divorce. Millions are searching for peace through self-effort, education, psychology, and the accumulation of material possessions. Jesus Christ is the only way to lasting peace -- real peace. When we turn our lives over to Him in total commitment...He takes over the responsibility and gives us peace. (Philippians 4:7).

IV. The Way to Power
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13).
Men and nations seek power to dominate and destroy one another. Christians seek power to assist the less fortunate and bring the lost to a saving knowledge of Jesus. It is Jesus Christ who is the way to power. His Holy Spirit empowers consecrated Christians to do God's work (Acts 1:8).
