10 Your First Impression of God...Elohim
If you have come to God through Christ Jesus, God
has made a pledge to you which He is not breaking. He
has never broken a covenant or pledge and He will
never break a pledge in the future.
What is a pledge?
Philippians 4:19 - “But my God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
How much do you need? ALL! There are things that
you will see that you have never seen before.
Perhaps you say, “My needs are not being met.” God
has never made a pledge to supply:
• All we want
• All we could use
He has made a covenant to give us all we need.
“But I have a financial need,” you say. God is more
precise than that. Your financial need may not be the
precise need. The precise need may be the need to get
our attention off of men and on to God so that by
trusting Him we can properly steward what He gives us
when He does give it to us.
Subject of the pledge? “...all you need.”
Security of the pledge? “My God...”
God is Elohim. When He makes a statement...you
can rest assured that it is true! Now if you were to go to
a bank for a loan, and if you didn’t have enough
collateral to back the loan, they would ask you for a co-
signature. This indicates that should you not be able to
repay the loan - the bank can go to someone much
